Mrs. Janet Gail Kirby Murdock, age 57, of Summerville, GA, died Friday, April 8, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Murdock was born September 24, 1964, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late John Taylor Kirby and Mable Thompson Kirby.  She enjoyed mowing yards and doing yard work, walking, fishing, and going on car rides.  She also loved eating pintos, fried potatoes, fried chicken, and ham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by numerous siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathern (Terry) Hartman; sisters, Olphia Padgett, Maggie Myers, Frances Tucker, Sue Durham, and Joyce Gentry; grandchildren, Nathaniel Hartman and Isabella Hartman.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Murdock will be held from 2:00 until 3:00P.M. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Wayside Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Gilreath officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Berryton Cemetery.
