Mrs. Vera Helen Goodridge Alexander, age 88, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Alexander was born June 26, 1933, in Jamestown, AL, daughter of the late James Samuel Goodridge, Sr. and Mary Tennessee Hampton Goodridge.  She was a homemaker and had previously been a member of Belmont Baptist Church.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Gordon "Billy" Alexander; a son, William "Glen" Alexander; brothers, Bobby Goodrich, Bill Goodridge, Orbin Goodridge, and James Goodridge; sisters, Sue Tucker, Louvinia Langston, and Rubel Morgan.

Survivors include her sons, David Alexander, John Alexander; daughters, Donna Brown (James Bruce), Kelli Bruce (Jeff Bruce); grandchildren, Kensey Alexander, Erica Alexander, Jessica (Mike) Lopez, Tiffaney Alexander, John Alexander, Jr., Victoria (Joey) Stubbs, Dylan Bruce, Josh Alexander, Heather (Mark) Mashburn, Zachary Alexander, and Kelsey Alexander; great-grandchildren, Amberly Alexander, Greyson Mashburn, Nathan Stubbs, Lucas Stubbs, Emory Cox, Kasen Gillum, Kysaac Lopez, Kenihya Taylor, and Sekani Taylor.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alexander will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 27, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Steve Burns officiating.  Interment will follow in Moseley Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be James Bruce, Jeff Bruce, Zach Alexander, Josh Alexander, Dylan Bruce, and Jackie Parker.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Lopez and Joey Stubbs.

Mrs. Alexander will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Friday.
