Mrs. Peggy Lavon Richardson, age 82, of Trion, GA, died Thursday, February 3, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Richardson was born January 11, 1940, in Trion, GA, daughter of Winifred Chandler Scoggins and the late J. D. Scoggins.  She was a member of Clearview Worship Center, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Best Manufacturing.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. B. Richardson, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Robin (Dave) Wooten, son, Van Alan Richardson; mother, Winifred Chandler Scoggins; grandchildren, Briana (Michael) Moore, Eddie Wooten, and Jennifer (Mark) Kellogg; great-grandchildren, Coby Moore, Amanda Moore, Matthew Kellogg, Ela Wooten, and Lilly Grace Kellogg.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 5, 2022, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. H. E. Cardin, Rev. Dan Hale, and Rev. Foster Bell officiating.  Pallbearers will be Bill Chandler, Jim Parker, Don Baker, Greg Scoggins, Raymond Ware, and Ken Parker.  Interment will be held privately at Greenhills Memory Gardens at a later date.

Mrs. Richardson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour on Saturday.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
