Mrs. Mildred Ann Smith, age 80 of Summerville, GA passed away Thursday February 10, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born June 15, 1941, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Henry Smith and Ruby Ware Smith.  She was a homemaker and a member of Summerville United Methodist Church.  She spent her entire life taking care of other people.

Along with her parents Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by brothers William Smith, Charles Smith, and Henry Smith, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Gayle Smith, Lena Jinks and Phyllis Hickey; brothers, Frank Smith, McAuthor Smith; sister, Henrietta Lindley; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Smith will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at New Spirit and Truth Church with Min. Lena Jinks officiating.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
