Mrs. Mary Christine Simpson, age 80, of Gaylesville, AL, died Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Advent Health Redmond.

Mrs. Simspon was born September 27, 1942, in Boynton Beach, FL, daughter of the late Calvin Rhodes Valentine and Anna Kate Justice Smith.  She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother.  Mrs. Simpson loved to cook, sew, raise a vegetable garden, and take care of her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Faye Culberson; step-father, Tip Smith; and a grandson, Nickolas Simpson.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Wayne Simpson; children, Mike (Kathy) Simpson, Steve "Dido" Simpson, Cindy (Billy) Martin, Robin (Jerry) Langley; sister, Barbara Maxwell; grandchildren, Lindsay (Ray) Swinford, Candace (Ethan) Maynard, ChrisAnn (Eric) Davenport, Amy (Cody) Crane, Lance (Becky) Simpson, Eric (Meaghan) Simpson, P.J. (Jessica) Simpson, Abby (Tripp) Langley; 12 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, JoAnn Morgan, Rickey Wheeling, Reba Modschiedler, and Chrystal Scriven.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (E.S.T.) Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Douglas Wood and Lance Simpson officiating.  Interment will follow in Weiss Lake Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be P.J. Simpson, Lance Simpson, Joe Scriven, Troy Simpson, Earl Simpson, Jr., Chuck Maxwell, Barry Simpson, and Bill Hamilin.  Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.

Mrs. Simpson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. (E.S.T.) until the hour of service on Tuesday.
