Mrs. Mary Ann Hendrix, age 94, of Summerville, GA passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her residence.

She was born December 25, 1926 to the late Walker Forest Anthony and Erie Estelle Huckaby Anthony.  She worked as an administrative secretary for many years for various employers including Fort Benning and the University of Georgia.

During her 48 years of marriage she worked alongside her minister husband in many church activities.  She also volunteered with the Cub Scouts as a Den Mother.  In later years, she particularly enjoyed her volunteer time with the American Red Cross blood drives, Redmond Regional Medical Center, and Oakview Nursing Home.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles C. Hendrix and sisters, Elizabeth Eason and Abbie Lee Talley Macon.

She is survived by a son, Charles A. Hendrix and wife, Elizabeth Dolezal; two daughters, Susannah Hendrix Bellew and Jane Cooper and husband, Ray; 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great- Grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 3:00PM at Bethel United Methodist Church in Gore with Rev. Jody Brock and Rev. Larry Russell officiating.  The family will have a gathering of friends and family from 1:00 PM until time of the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a church or charity of choice.
