Mrs. Amy Jewell Dooley, age 88, of Lyerly, GA, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at her daughter's residence.

Mrs. Dooley was born May 29, 1935, in Felton, GA, daughter of the late John Wesley "J.W." and Omer Connell Chitwood.  She attended Trinity Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Lucky's Supermarket.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Dooley; brothers, John Arlin Chitwood, Royce Chitwood; sisters, Velma Chitwood Allen, JoAnn Chitwood; and son-in-law, Virgil Lee Hartline.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Dooley Hartline; sisters, Leona Shaw, Marie Gossett; sister-in-law, Linda Bailey Chitwood; grandchildren, JoAnna Hartline, Judson Hartline, Donna Hampton, Candy Fulmer, and Randy Hartline.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dooley will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, September 28, 2023, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard Odom officiating.  Interment will follow in Lyerly Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Judson Hartline, Randy Hartline, Brandon Gurley, Steve Chitwood, and Kenneth Chitwood.

Mrs. Dooley will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Thursday.
