Glenda Faye Smallan Williams, 79, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 7, surrounded by the family who adored her.

Born a small-town girl with big dreams and fierce determination, Glenda lived a life marked by curiosity, courage, and an unquenchable love for learning. She attended Chattooga High School and continued her studies at Dalton Junior College and Wyandotte County College in Kansas City, Kansas. Her education never truly ended; Glenda approached every season of life as an opportunity to grow, stretch, and discover.

Her career path was as diverse as it was distinguished. From laborer to foreman and manager; from salesperson to top salesperson to trainer of sales teams; from communications and marketing to logistics and management—Glenda excelled wherever she planted her feet. She embraced challenges with enthusiasm and met new opportunities with the confidence of someone who believed anything was possible.

Glenda's entrepreneurial spirit flourished alongside her beloved husband, Judson Lee Williams. Together they built and operated several businesses, including a restaurant, grocery store, and multiple game centers. No matter the venture, Glenda remained the steady, supportive partner to Jud, who worked unpredictable hours with the railroad. She became famous among the railroad men for the hot meals and coffee she packed for her husband—simple acts of devotion that spoke volumes about her love.

A woman who lived with both faith and purpose, Glenda was an active member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury, Texas. Her church family was a meaningful part of her life, and she poured her warmth and generosity into the relationships she cultivated there.

Above all her accomplishments, Glenda's greatest joy was her family and friends. She had a gift for hospitality and hosted countless gatherings in their homes in Georgia, Kansas City, and Granbury, Texas. Glenda lived life with gusto and a generous heart, making everyone she encountered feel loved, heard, and welcomed.

The pride of her life was her two children and six grandchildren—each one her "favorite." Their photos were displayed like treasured trophies, and she celebrated every milestone with delight. She was deeply blessed to know her three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.

Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Judson Lee Williams; her father, Howard Marcus Smallan, Jr.; her mother, Margaret Louise Bird Smallan; her brother, Jerry Smallan; and niece Tina Brock Tucker. She is survived by her sisters Judy Smallan Stanek King and Sammye (Richard) Brock; her daughter, Rhonda Williams Ewing (Jim); her son, Judson Marcus Williams; her grandchildren Charley Marie (Jeremiah) Radefeld, Ashley Williams, Anna Grace (Grayson) Baker, Jessica Williams, William (DeLana) Ewing, and Judson Timothy (Kayla) Williams; and her four great-grandchildren, Taylyn, Arabella, Lily, and Judson Leo. She is also survived by nieces Theresa Latta, Debra Taylor, Marcella Cabrera, Mary Stanek, Christi Maupin, and Lynn Stanek and one nephew, Joe Smallan.

Glenda lived fully, loved deeply, and left a legacy of strength, generosity, and joy. She will be profoundly missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2025, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be William Ewing, Judson Timothy Williams, Grayson Baker, Jeremiah Radefeld, Benjamin Latta, and Joshua Smallan. Honorary pallbearers will be James C Ewing, Richard Brock, Joe Smallan, and Warren Williams.

Glenda will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Friday.
