Mrs. Evelyn Hendrix Jones, age 100, of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday December 15, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Jones was born December 20, 1921, in Tifton, GA to the late Henry and Addie Mae Scoggins Hendrix. She was a homemaker, and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Millard C. Jones; grandson, Roddy Jones, and siblings, Henrietta Owenby, Wilson Hendrix, Dorothy Elsberry, Lee Owens, Willard Hendrix, and Bobby Hendrix.

Survivors include her children, Rodney and Jeannette Jones, Roland and Ava Jones, Randy and Yvonne Jones, Ricky and Terri Jones; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jones will be held at 2:00 Sunday- December 19 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Brock officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery with Rodney Jones, Roland Jones, Randy Jones, Ricky Jones, Brad Jones, and Dustin Jones serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Jones will lie in state and the family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 until the service hour.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers and/or food that memorial donations be made to Bethel United Methodist Church of Gore in honor of Mrs. Jones.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
