Mrs. Della "Sheryl" Jackson-Middleton, age 70, of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Atrium Health-Floyd.

Mrs. Middleton was born June 3, 1951, in Jamestown, AL, daughter of the late Grady and Gartrelle Tracey Jackson.  She was a homemaker and a member of New Covenant Tabernacle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. Middleton; and a brother, James Jackson.

Survivors include her son, Connor Middleton (Melissa Heimann); daughters, Sherry (Raul) Perez, Amanda (Durham) Mayo, and August (Jason) Hughes; brothers, Duane Jackson, Richard Jackson, and Charles Jackson; sisters, Andrea Mobbs, Eloise Lewis, Marilyn Chapelear, and Charlotte Mitchell; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Middleton will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 12, 2022, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Shireman officiating.  Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Gannon Middleton, Rowen Middleton, Cody Abernathy, Alex Perez, Elliot Mayo, and Brendan Abernathy.

Mrs. Middleton will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Saturday.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
