Mrs. Carol Brewster Pruitt age 72 of Gaylesville, AL passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Pruitt was born April 12, 1950 in Trion, GA to the late Clyde Brewster, Jr & Mary Martin Brewster. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church and was a loving homemaker. Carol's passion was crocheting hats for cancer patients and the homeless. She attached a card on each that said "Crocheting for Jesus" along with John 3:16. Her hats went to over 32 states and 4 different countries touching many souls while keeping many heads warm.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Pruitt; and twin brothers, William Gary and Joseph Larry Brewster.

Survivors include her children, Michael Pruitt, Susan (Bobby) Millican, and Stephanie (Scott) Lowe; sisters Donna (Pat) Ross and Diane (Alan) Davis; grandchildren/great-grandchildren: Dakota, Kimberly (Trey), Samantha (Jesse), Brittney (Lane), Shelly, Sutton, Shawn, Ty, Addison, Bella, Oliver, Liam, Bryant, Gracelynn, Shayla, Nolan, Maddison, Ayden and Devyn; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tina (Walt) Jones, Lynn McNabb; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Pruitt will be held at 2:00 PM EST Tuesday, November 15 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Koonce officiating. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery with Bobby Millican, Scott Lowe, Tommy Storey, Wayne Wilson, Matt Rubin, and Cody Dawson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Mann and the staff of Cherokee Floyd EMS.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM EST until the service hour Tuesday at the church.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
