Mrs. Betty Jean Wells Lewis, age 88, of Summerville, GA, died Friday, April 8, 2022, at Atrium Health Floyd.

Mrs. Lewis was born March 29, 1934, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Gurney and Ollie Stone Wells.  She was a member of Pentecostal Power Ministries where she enjoyed singing in the choir and spending time with her church friends.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Lyerly Glove Mill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Charles Thomas Cox and Terry Nathaniel Cox; and 4 brothers.

Survivors include her husband, James H. Lewis; daughter, Sheila McGuire; 6 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Pentecostal Power Ministries (85 Lyerly Dam Road – Lyerly, GA) with Pastor Steve Collins and Evangelist Ricky Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow in Lyerly Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Charles Cox, Jr. and the Men of Pentecostal Power Ministries.

There will be no visitation.
