Mrs. Beatrice Ruth Stinnett Ward, age 82, of Summerville, Ga died Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Ward was born January 16, 1940, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Jackson and Mary Browder Stinnett.  She was a member of North Summerville Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Bigelow Sanford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ferrell D. Ward; a grandson, Brandon Teems; numerous brothers and sisters; and a niece, Sheree Hurley.

Survivors include her son, Ricky Ward; daughters, Cathy Longshore, Cindy (Bob) Helms, Deborah (Lanny) Harrelson, and Lora (Jerry) Brown; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Subligna Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Daton Harrelson, Justin Ward, Trent Wilson, Casin Rogers, Chad Teems, Gary Teems, and Thad Teems.

There will be no visitation.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
