Mrs. Barbara Jean Nixon Blackmon age 73 of Summerville, GA passed away Saturday – September 18, 2021 at a Rome, GA hospital.

Mrs. Blackmon was born December 3, 1948 in Summerville, GA to the late Curtis and Elsie Pearce Nixon. She was a member of Faith Baptist temple, and she enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, wrestling, and collected clowns.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Scotty Blackmon.

Survivors include her husband, William "Billy" Blackmon, Sr.; son, William (Tammy) Blackmon, Jr.; brother, Bobby (Shelia) Nixon; sister, Mary (Ikey) Henderson; 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Mrs. Blackmon's wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
