Mrs. Barbara Jean Edwards age 82 of  Summerville, GA passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at a local healthcare facility.

Mrs. Edwards was born November 4, 1940 in Trion, GA to the late Collis and Francis Reynolds Styles. She was retired from Lyerly Elementary School. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, baking, her pets, fishing, and being outdoors. Her true gift was helping others.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Black; brother, Waymond Styles; along with another sister and brother-in-laws.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Edwards; son, Danny Edwards (Rhonda); son-in-law, Reagan Black; brother, Releigh Styles; sister, Penny Woods (Mike); 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Edwards will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Lyerly Cemetery with Mr. Mike Woods officiating. Pallbearers will be Brandon Black, Reagen Black, Bradley Black, Ricky Edwards, Korey Edwards, and Jeff Dooley. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Edwards, P.J. Edwards, Steve McGill, Tim Hurley, and Tim Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 Wednesday at the funeral home.
