Mrs. Alma "Jean" "MawMaw" Maddux, age 86, of Trion, GA, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. Maddux was born February 15, 1939, in LaFayette, GA, daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Baty Owens.  She was a member of Trion United Methodist Church and was retired from LaFayette Hosiery Mill.

Mrs. Maddux loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed traveling, sewing, and working with her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Tommy Cline and Franky Cline; a daughter, Patricia Maddux; sister, Jessie Davis; and a brother, Ross Owens.

Survivors include her husband, Graham Maddux, Sr.; daughters, Kaye (Randy) Riddle, Pam Maddux, and Janet Maddux; sons, Colby Dane (Vanessa) Maddux, George Maddux, Jr., Dennis (Ann) Maddux, and Dave (Linda) Dunwoody; a sister, Debbie (Guy) Smith; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Coady and Rev. David Autrey officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be B.J. Eleam, Chris Ellenburg, J.T. Maddux, Striker Bates, Christopher King, and Cody McGraw.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Ellenburg and the members of Trion United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Maddux will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Tuesday.
