Mr. Thomas Hamilton Brewer, Jr., age 90, of Summerville, GA, died Friday, November 12, 2021, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Brewer was born October 25, 1931, in Lyerly, GA, son of the late Thomas Hamilton "Hamp" Brewer, Sr. and Gussie Henderson Brewer.  He was a member of Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church and prior to his retirement, was employed with Bigelow-Sanford.  He had also worked as a farmer most of his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hixey Lynn Jones Brewer; sister, Margaret Brewer Gayler; son-in-law, Randall Smith; brother-in-law, H. I. Jones; and a great-grandson, Ryan Meadows.

Survivors include his son, Jack (Stephanie) Brewer; daughters, Rebecca (Wesley) Thomas, Kathy (Larry) Johnson, and Jeanne Smith; a sister, Tennie Jo (Ralph) Ferry; brother-in-law, Branson Gayler; sister-in-law, Frances Jones; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lawrence P. Burge and Rev. Marshall Bryan officiating.  Interment will follow in Lyerly Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Brooks Brewer, Zeb Brewer, William Hodge, Jason Meadows, Garrett Salmon, Matthew Salmon, Hamp Thomas, and Matt Williams.

Mr. Brewer will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to any Church or Christian-based charity of your choice.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
