Mr. Miles Haynes, Jr. age 80 of Summerville, GA passed away Monday – June 14, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Haynes was born October 18, 1940 in Eagle, West Virginia, the son of the late Miles Haynes Sr. and Lethia  Swaggardy Haynes. Mr. Haynes was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills, a member of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church, loved hanging out with friends, and blues music.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Willie Katie Oldin, Annie Bell Anderson, great-grandson, niece, Wanda M. Thompson, sister-in-law, Mary Joyce Roberts.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Dinah Kate Hixon Haynes; children, Robert Haynes, Johnny Haynes, Alex Haynes, Brodrick (Tanka) Haynes, Sandra Ridley; sister, Annie Kate Thompson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sanders Hixon, JR, Melvin Hixon, John Dozier, Wayne & Lisa Roberts, Nancy Adams, April & Vincent Kinney;  grandchildren, Mitchell, Imani, Caressa, Brandon, Branelle, Brishna, Addyson, Skylar, Jakayla; 6 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of close friends and other family members.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Haynes will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday - June 18, 2021, at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Bishop V.T. Harden   officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill M.B.C. Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Thompson, Eric Sanford, Wallace McClure, Jeffery Burge, Ken Tubbs, Kevin Dozier, and Carl Wedgeworth.

Mr. Haynes will be in state and the family will receive friends Friday- June 18, 2021 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
