Mr. Steve McClain, age 70, of Summerville, GA, passed from this life on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Mr. McClain was born July 10, 1956, in LaFayette, GA, to the late Charles McClain and Sarah Durham McClain.

Survivors include his long-time companion, Charlotte Taylor; his son, Chris (Kimberly) Butler; daughter, Christy (J.L.) Villaroel; sister, Shelia (Randy) Mills; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; special friends, Tina McGuire, Marty McGuire, Phil McGuire, Ricky Johnson, and Sheila Wilson Hill.

Graveside and interment services to celebrate the life of Mr. McClain will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Subligna Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Shaver officiating.  Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Brown, Dusty Brown, Phil McGuire, Tina McGuire, and Marty McGuire.  Honorary pallbearers will be Cheryl and Sonny Durham.

Mr. McClain will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to the Sonrise Community Church Building Fund at 1717 Highway 100, Summerville, GA 30747.
