Mr. James Larry Norton, age 69, of Summerville, GA, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Norton was born November 5, 1956, in Summerville, GA, son of the late James Calvin Norton, Sr. and Lora Frances Tucker Norton.  He was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with AT&T  Mr. Norton was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was retired from the National Guard where he served as a Senior Master Sergeant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Diane Norton.

Survivors include his wife, Myra Wade Norton; son, James Eric Norton (Ashley Lynn); sisters, Joan Sheryl (Dale) Willingham, Linda (Emory) Tallent, and Karen (David) Fletcher; grandchildren, Lyndee Norton and Asher Norton.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at Summerville Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be David Fletcher, Jr., Brian Hammitt, Robby Kelley, Casey Hunter, Michael Parker, and Stephen Parker.

Mr. Norton will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
