Mr. James "Bo" Anderson, age 71, of Lyerly, GA, died Friday, May 13, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Anderson was born November 25, 1950, in LaFayette, GA, son of the late Charles Richard and Julia Pauline Huff Anderson.  He was a member of Lyerly First Baptist Church and prior to his retirement, was employed with Colonial Bread.  Mr. Anderson was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam.  He loved to garden and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Anderson Morrow; and brother, Joe Anderson.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah McCurdy Anderson; son, Matt (Brooke) Anderson; daughter, Lindsay (Charlie) Peace; a brother, Ben Anderson; sister, Phyllis Moore; grandchildren, Megan Mickley, Drake (Lexi) Mickley, Nathaniel Anderson, Jaiden Mickley, Ty Mickley, Boyd Anderson, Lawson Anderson; great-grandchild, Julianna Mickley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Lyerly First Baptist Church with Rev. James Baird officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in Johnson Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Anderson, Drake Mickley, Ty Mickley, Will Abbott, Alec Johnson, and Charlie Peace.

Mr. Anderson will be in state at Lyerly First Baptist Church and the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Tuesday.
