Mr. Houston Marks, age 76, of Summerville, GA, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Marks was born January 27, 1945, in LaFayette, GA, son of the late Lewson Nell Marks and Louise Thomas Chambers.  He attended Four Mile Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mohawk Industries for 47 years.  He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Marks was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Jean McWhorter Marks; adoptive father, Will Chambers; and grandson, Corey Thompson.

Survivors include sons, Jimmy Hardin, Charles (Brenda) McGuire; daughter, Hope (Neil) Shropshire; 1 brother; 2 sisters; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 5, 2021, at Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Smith and Bro. Chris Nixon officiating.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at West Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Marks will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Monday.
