Mr. Gerald Gerome Pinion, age 82, of Summerville, GA, died Friday, January 3, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Pinion was born February 21, 1942, in Summerville, GA, son of the late Joseph Clayton Pinion and Shirley Hughes Pinion.  He was a member of the Berryton Church of God and was retired from Oglethorpe Power.  He had also worked as a self-employed carpenter and painter.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pinion was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Reed Pinion; a brothers, David Pinion and Billy Joe Pinion; and a sister, Charlotte Milstead.

Survivors include his sons, Michael (Judy) Morrison, Jimmy (Cindy) Morrison, Steve (Sheila) Morrison; daughter, Ellen (Joe) Kinnamont; sisters, Barbara St. Clair, JoAnne Reed; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jake Morrison, Dr. Charles Bishop, Rev. Russell Headrick, and Rev. Jason Lee officiating.  Interment will follow in Subligna Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Ryan Morrison, Jake Morrison, Steve Rosser, Jeff Brock, and Charles Milstead, Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Berryton Church of God.

Mr. Pinion will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Tuesday.
