Mr. Eugene Franklin "Gene" Todd, age 82, of Gaylesville, AL, died Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Todd was born April 21, 1943, in Jamestown, AL, son of the late Milton and Ethel McCullough Todd.  He was a member and Deacon of Faith Baptist Church of Gaylesville, and prior to his retirement, was self-employed in the logging industry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Hartline Todd; brother, Johnny (Charlotte) Todd; sisters, Louise (Charles) Bynum, and Azie (John) Crane.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Todd; daughters, Beth (Jeremy) Fletcher, Stephanie (Bobby) Kuykendall; a sister, Karen (Lee) Warren; grandchildren, Parker Fletcher, Aydn Heinrich, Devyn (Eric) West, Madison Dobbs; and great-grandchildren, Isla West and Kiplin West.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. (GA Time) Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Clay Moreland and Rev. Jim VanPelt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Lee Warren, Austyn Todd, Dewayne Bynum, Buster Bynum, Kenny Wilbanks, and Richard McCullough.

Mr. Todd will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. (GA Time) on Tuesday.  He will also lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
