Mr. Dennis "Buttercup" Bentley, age 76 of Gaylesville, AL passed away Saturday- June 4, 2022 at a Rome hospital.

Mr. Bentley was born May 24, 1946 in Taft, AL to the late Melvin Dugan and Ophelia Hawthorne Bentley.  He was retired from Best Manufacturing and loved restoring old cars and trucks.

Along with his parents, Mr. Bentley is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Diana Murphy Bentley; son-in-law, Sam Hall; and siblings, Luna Mae "Teat" Tucker, James "Buddy" Bentley, Kenneth Bentley, and Gene Bentley.

Survivors include his children, Brent (Connie) Bentley, and Sonja Hall; special friend, Marlene Nixon; sister, Geneva Williams; grandchild, Harley Bentley; and step-grandchildren Lee Langston and Madison Elliott.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bentley will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday- June 7 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Keith and Pastor Briggs King officiating. Interment will follow at Moseley Cemetery with Greg Bentley and Jimmy, Roger, Travis, Jesse, and Jamie Tucker serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Moseley, Danny Powell, and Leon "Rusty" Tucker.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 until the service hour at the funeral home.
