Mr. David Bruce Peace, age 72, of Summerville, GA, died Friday, July 30, 2021, at Chulio Hills Health and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Peace was born March 23, 1949, in LaFayette, GA, son of the late John Clemens and Georgia Brown Peace.  He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Trion, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  Mr. Peace loved to golf and play cards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Freddie Peace, Mickey Peace, Steve Peace, and Marvin (Dianne) Peace; and his former wife, Diane Norton.

Survivors include his daughter, Carla (Charlie) Rutledge; brothers, Johnny (Alice) Peace, Randy (Donna) Peace; sisters, Pat (Billy) Parker, Martha (Sammy) Brown, and Mary Nell Peace; grandchildren, Saxton Rutledge and Ashlyn Rutledge.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 2, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Andy Coker officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Billy Brown, Donny Brown, Randy Peace, Jr., Johnathan Peace, Wayne Wilson, and Randy Searles.

Mr. Peace will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Monday.
