Mr. Dale Lamar Mahaffey, age 66, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Mahaffey was born July 13, 1959, in Summerville, GA, son of Betty Henderson Mahaffey and the late James Arnold Mahaffey.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and going to the casino.  He also enjoyed antique cars.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Drummond.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Mahaffey; brother, David (Linda Karneol) Mahaffey; sister, Donna (Daniel) Worley; nephews, Ben Mahaffey, John Bearden, Chris Drummond, and Joshua Drummond; nieces, Regina Holden, Jessica Allen, and Amanda Drummond; special friends, Leroy Braymon and Cierra.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 1, 2025, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Gibson officiating.  Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Leroy Braymon, John Bearden, Daniel Allen, Ben Mahaffey, Bryan Holden, and Silas Allen.

Mr. Mahaffey will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Monday.
