Mr. Charles Reynolds Chamlee, age 83, of Cartersville, GA (formerly of Trion), died Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Maple Ridge Healthcare.

Mr. Chamlee was born December 29, 1940, in LaFayette, GA, son of the late Reynolds and Jennie Lou Brown Chamlee.  He was a lifelong member of Trion First Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed as an Industrial Engineer in the Carpet Samples Department at Mohawk Industries.

Mr. Chamlee was a Trion High School graduate where he was voted "Mr. Trion High" in 1959.  He also attended Georgia Tech and was a state singles tennis champion.  He was also an avid fisherman and golfer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Alyce Lynn Hammond Chamlee; a daughter, Lisa Dawn Chamlee; and sister, Linda Ingle.

Survivors include his son, Charles Reynolds (Sue) Chamlee; a daughter, Tamara "Tammy" Griffith; brothers, Richard (Susie) Chamlee, Tim (Pam) Chamlee; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mr. Chamlee will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 4, 2024, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Hannah officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Pine Log United Methodist Church, PO Box 10 Rydal, GA 30171 in memory of Mr. Chamlee.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
