Mr. Charles Eugene Bryson, age 71, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Bryson was born December 15, 1949, in LaFayette, GA, son of the late Charlie Eugene Bryson and Lucy Drucilla Dawson Horton.  He had attended Menlo Church of Christ, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  Mr. Bryson also enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Sandra Diane Bryson, Cindy Bryson; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Dottie Bryson; and step-father, George Horton.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Purcell Bryson; sons, Chris (Marquette) Bryson, Randy (Susan) Bryson; brothers, Willie (Connie) Bryson, Sidney (Sheila) Bryson, George Horton; sister, Brenda (Tim) Rutledge; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 3, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris White officiating.  Interment will follow in AMI Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be James Millican, Jeff Farley, Dylan Lemmings, Shawn Bryson, Timothy Rutledge, and Jerry Rutledge.

Mr. Bryson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
