Mr. Cecil Larry Walker, Sr., age 72, of Summerville, GA, passed away Saturday January 15, 2022, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Walker was born May 19, 1949, in LaFayette, GA, the son of the late Clyde P. and Melinda Carol Thompson Walker.  He was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills with over 31 years of service. In his spare time he loved to fish.

He is preceded in death by a son, Blake Walker; Parents, Clyde P. and Melinda Carol Thompson Walker; Sister, Mary Ruth Stone, brothers, Roy Walker, Houston Walker and J.C. Walker.

Survivors include his sons, Tony (Beth) DeWayne Walker, and Larry Walker; Daughters, Elaine (Travis) Walker Shelby, Malinda (Bobby) Boyd, and Misty (Zack) Langston. 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great- Grandchildren also survive.

Graveside and interment services will be held 3:00 p.m. (EST) Wednesday January 19, 2022 at Liberty Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Kevin J. Norton officiating. Pallbearers will be, Marshall Price, Tony Walker, Taylor Walker, Tristan Walker, Dustin Walker, Larry Walker.

Mr. Walker will  be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Wednesday January 19, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.(EST).

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
