Mr. Calvin Ray Carnes, age 68, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Calvin was born April 14, 1953, in Summerville, GA, son of the late Joseph L. and Barbara Patterson Carnes.  He was a professional musician for over 20 years and was later employed as a Respiratory Therapist with Express Medical Supply.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Carnes; and brother-in-law, Harold DeBerry.

He is survived by his son, Cody (Kari) Carnes; grandsons, Canyon and Kingston Carnes; sisters, Charlotte (Job) Maxson, Sandra DeBerry; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate Calvin's life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 14, 2022, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Jobe officiating.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Mason Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Friday.

Private inurnment will be held at Garrett Cemetery.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
