Mr. Arthur Lee "Skeet" Perry, age 80, of Summerville, GA, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Advent Health Redmond.

Arthur was born in Menlo, GA to Nathaniel and Julia May Perry on February 11, 1942.  Skeet started working at an early age and had many different jobs.  He retired at age 65 from S.I. Story Lumber Mill.  He spent a great deal of his retirement years living life just as he felt he was old enough to do, which meant whatever he wanted!  A lot of that time was spent with his siblings enjoying being together.  He became ill in his late 70's, and from those days until his final rest, he still did all the hobbies that he enjoyed.  He is greatly loved and missed.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Jean Perry; son, Rodney Cox; and daughter, Michelle Addison.

Mr. Perry is survived by his children, Julia Perry, Carol Perry, Tara Davis, Jerome Thompson, and Steven Thompson; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.  Skeet has a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Friday, September 30, 2022, at Mason Funeral Home.
