Mr. Johnny Deforest Ayers, age 63, a native Chattooga Countian, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021.

He was born March 12, 1958.  Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, DeForest and Beatrice Rinehart Ayers.

He is survived by his brothers, J. Steve (Marie) Ayers, Phillip (Janice) Ayers; niece, April (Eddie) Davis; nephew, Scott (Kelly) Ayers; great-nieces, Abby Ayers, Cassie Davis; and great-nephew, Jacob Weiss.

Graveside services for Johnny will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the family plot in Summerville Cemetery with Minister Ron Fisher officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions in Johnny's memory be made to the Boys and Girls Club – Chattooga County at P.O. Box 636 Summerville, GA 30747, or to your favorite charity.

Johnny's family is especially grateful to Parkside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Willowbrook Hospice for their skillful and very compassionate care.
