Mr. Edward Dale Chastain, age 70, of Summerville, GA, died Friday, August 26, 2022, at Advent Health Redmond.

Mr. Chastain was born September 1, 1951, in Rome, GA, son of the late Edward Eugene and Lucille Fite Chastain.  He was a member of Silver Hill Baptist Church and was employed with Mohawk.  He was a Sergeant in the United States Army having served in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Parsons Chastain; brother, Donnie Chastain; and a sister, Ann McCoy.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Elaine Chastain; and a nephew, Shane Chastain.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 29, 2022, at Silver Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kevin J. Norton officiating.  Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.

Mr. Chastain will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. on Monday.
