Ms. Kathryn Elemeta McDonald, age 85, of Calhoun, GA, died Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.
Ms. McDonald was born July 2, 1932, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Winston and Margaret Williams McDonald. She was a homemaker and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 6688. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Andy Barrett; her brothers, Jim McDonald, Dub McDonald, and Gene McDonald; and a sister, Thelma Brown.
Ms. McDonald is survived by her sons, Gary Barrett and Mike Headrick; daughters, Pat Barnes and Pam Mullins; sisters, Frances Payton and Dean Cox; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Alfred Black.
Funeral services for Ms. McDonald will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, February 26, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Pollard officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Shannon Mullins, Justin Mullins, Randy McDonald, Rex McDonald, Brian Payton, and Darryl Payton.
Ms. McDonald will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service hour on Monday.
