Mrs. Peggy Sue (Crabtree) Thomas

Mrs. Peggy Sue Thomas, age 72, of Summerville, GA, died Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Thomas was born October 16, 1945, in Kingston, GA, daughter of the late Charles Wheeler and Clara Maude Crabtree.  She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, worked as an Assistant Manager at Wal-Mart.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Sara Mae Henderson, Betty Battles, and Ruth Smith; brothers, Charles F. “Bud” Crabtree, Clyde Crabtree; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Hugh and Mae Thomas.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Roger Thomas; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Ginger Thomas; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Paul Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Judy Crabtree; a sister, Nancy Newton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Faye and Herman Elrod; sisters-in-law, Carol Magnusson, Arlene Crabtree, and Jean Crabtree; grandchildren, Scott Thomas (Ashley), Ashley Thomas, Skyler Thomas; great-grandchildren, Ryan Thomas, Kaden Thomas, Remi Thomas, and Luke Edwards.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard Odom, Rev. Mike Odom, and Rev. Thurston Garrett officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Eddie Millican, Stacy Blackmon, James Elrod, Terry Elrod, Jake Burdick, Shawn McCary, Todd Money, and Butch Newton.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Trinity Baptist Church and her nephews.

Mrs. Thomas will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday.
