Mrs. Nettie (Tench) Franklin

Mrs. Nettie Tench Franklin, age 89 of Summerville, GA passed away Sunday- September 9, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Franklin was born June 5, 1929 in Demorest, GA to the late Judson and Birdie Williams Tench. She was retired from Chattooga High School where she served in the cafeteria and was a Baptist by faith.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

Mrs. Franklin is survived by her husband of 72 years; Charles F. Franklin, son; Charles (Shirley) Franklin, daughter; Patricia (Kenneth) Cox, brother; Neil (Reba) Tench,  grandchildren; Lorie Brown & Rebecca Payton, and great-grandchildren; Makalia Brown & Kaitlyn Payton.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday- September 11, 2018 at Subligna Cemetery with Rev. Brandon Bishop officiating.

Mrs. Franklin will be in-state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30-1:30.
