Mrs. Mildred Dane (Chapman) Howard

Mrs. Mildred Dane Chapman Jones Howard, age 78, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday March 10, 2019, in Oakview Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Howard was born March 22, 1940 in Copperhill, TN to the late Hillyer C. and Wilma Brown Chapman. She was retired from Suntrust Bank and was a member of Freedom Fellowship.

Along with her parents Mrs. Howard is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Howard.

Survivors include her sons, Ross (Linda) Jones III, Dale (Michele) Jones, Paul (Laura) Jones; daughter, Victoria (James Sr.) Trammel; brother, Hillyer (Diana) Chapman; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Howard will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday- March 14 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Westmoreland officiating. The family will meet for interment at 2:00 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Mrs. Howard will be in state and the family will receive friends at Mason Funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
