Mrs. Mary Kathleen "Sissy" (Colquitt) Duncan

Mrs. Mary Kathleen “Sissy” Duncan, age 82, of Lyerly, GA, began her new life in the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

Mrs. Duncan was born October 8, 1936, in Marshall County, AL, daughter of the late Homer Webster and Evie Lou Swords Colquitt.  She was a member of the West Berryton Faith Temple.  She worked for several years at Georgia Glove Mill before retiring from Best Manufacturing in Menlo, GA.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harvey C. Duncan, and 15 siblings.

Mrs. Duncan is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey Dewayne and Sheila Duncan, Chris A. and Missy Duncan; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Diane and Gary Blackwell, Louetta and Hugh Milligan; sisters and brother-in-law, Dorsie Nell “Tootsie” Hogwood, Loretta Faye and Labron Abbott; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Duncan will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, May 16, 2019, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Boyd officiating.  Interment will follow in Lyerly Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Ben Duncan, Chad Millican, Kyle Millican, Luke Blackwell, Will Duncan, and Garrison Dodson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Millican, Bren Duncan, Jeff Cochran, Austin White, Justice White, and Gary Blackwell.

Mrs. Duncan will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
