Mrs. Mary Lois Turnipseed, age 69, of Trion, GA, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Turnipseed was born January 23, 1948, in Trion, GA, the daughter of the late Fred Griffin and Dolly Roberta Maddux Padgett.  Mrs. Turnipseed was a member of the Church of God at Rossville and was also an Evangelist for the Church of God.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Colby Tyler Thompson.

Survivors include her husband, Jackie Lee Turnipseed; daughters and son-in-law, Mary Leah Turnipseed, Carol Lynnette and Robert Thompson; brother, David Eugene Padgett; grandchildren, Justin Thompson and Kenneth Thompson; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Turnipseed will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Brother Lawrence Munoz and Brother Ed Matthews officiating.  Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be Justin Thompson, Kenneth Thompson, Clifford Bryant, Alan Mawry, Glen Townsand, and William Thompson.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Church of God at Rossville.

Mrs. Turnipseed will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Tuesday August 22, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
