Mrs. Martha Bell (Fuller) Battles

Mrs. Martha Bell Fuller Battles, age 87 of Lyerly, GA passed away Monday- July 15, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Battles was born April 11, 1932 in Cherokee County, AL to the late George F. and Mellie Mae Noles Fuller. She was retired from Georgia Glove Mill and was of the Baptist Faith.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Battles, children, Shirley Rickett, Glenda Battles, Jerry Battles, brothers, Dwight Fuller, Max Fuller, Ernest Fuller,  sister, Sue Fuller.

Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Gary and Jacque Battles, Carlton and Leslie Battles, Bobby  Battles, Earl Battles, Terry and Gwen Battles ; daughters, Dorothy Battles,  and Doris Battles,  Christine Battles; brothers,  a number of grandchildren;  great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Battles will be held at 2 p.m Thursday  at the chapel of Mason funeral Home with Rev. Steve Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carlton Battles, Bobby Battles, Michael Battles, Gary Battles, Dakota Turner and Jeffrey Blackmon. Honorary pallbearers, Drew White, William Costlow, Ronnie Turner.

Mrs. Battles will lie in state and the family will receive friends at Mason Funeral home Wednesday July 17, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m.
