Mrs. Louise (Roper) Dover

Mrs. Louise Roper Dover age 87, of Summerville, GA, passed away Thursday- August 1, 2019, at Oakview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Dover was born April 22, 1932, in Walker County GA, the daughter of the late Gordon Lester and Elvie Gilbreath Roper.  She was a homemaker, a member of Subligna Baptist Church for over 60 years, and the Ladies Sunday School Class. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Hubert “Hub” Dover.

Survivors include her, children; Tommy & Freida Dover SR, Roger Dover, Sharon & Leroy Sweatman; grandchildren; Tommy Jr. and Jenny Dover, Jeff Dover, Samantha and Joe Stephens, Leah and Stephen McCullough, and Dereck and Starr Dover; great-grandchildren, Chloe Dover, Chance Dover, Landon Stephens, Evan Stephens, Sarah Ann McCullough, Dylan Dover, Layne Dover, Brittian Dover, Aiden Dover, brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Katheryn Roper, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; Betty Dover, Annie Cooke, Helen & Allen Ponder.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday- August 4, 2019, at Subligna Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Bishop and Rev. George Pinion officiating. Interment will follow at Subligna Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Tommy Dover, JR, Jeff Dover, Joe Stephens, Steven McCullough, Greg Roper, Dave Roper, Derek Dover, Landon Stephens, Evan Stephens and Chance Dover.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies Sunday School Class of Subligna Baptist Church, Chloe Dover,
Sarah Ann McCullough and the staff of Oakview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Dover will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Saturday August 3, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m.  At other hours the family will be at the home of their daughter, Sharon Sweatman.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Sublinga Baptist Church Building Fund.
