Mrs. Julia Mae (Bartlett) Rowlls

Mrs. Julia Mae Rowlls, age 92, of Lyerly, GA, died Monday, May 14, 2018, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Rowlls was born January 19, 1926, in Decatur, AL, daughter of the late Clyde Arthur and Julia Kilgore Bartlett.  She was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mohawk.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Rowlls; daughter, Helen Daggett; son, Johnny Rowlls; brothers, Clyde Bartlett, Arthur Bartlett, and William Bartlett; and grandchildren, Jeffery Rowlls, Jervis Rowlls, and Tonya Cotton.

Mrs. Rowlls is survived by her son, Leon Rowlls; daughters, Betty Ann Elrod, Martha Sue Brown, and Dorothy Marshall; a sister, Louise Vaughn; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rowlls will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Dewayne Teague and Rev. Jeff Duvall officiating.  Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Daniel Cordle, Tyler Cordle, Braden Tucker, Dewayne Daggett, Michael Rowlls, Jonathan Duncan, and Austin McGraw.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Sunday School Class of Sardis Baptist Church and the Staff of Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Rowlls will be in state at Sardis Baptist Church and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
