Mrs. Joyce Louise (Bailey) Montgomery

Mrs. Joyce Louise Montgomery, age 80, of Summerville, GA, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Montgomery was born January 23, 1939, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Roy and Leatha Chandler Bailey.  She was a member of New Hope South Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, she was employed with the Chattooga County Board of Education.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Bailey, Winford Bailey, Clifford Bailey; sisters, Betty Bailey, Katherine Elrod, Callie Mae Alexander, and Barbara Bailey.

Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her husband, Bill Montgomery; son, Michael W. Montgomery; daughter, Melissa Montgomery Jarrett; a brother, Rev. Jimmy Bailey; and grandchildren, Bailey Kellett, Kaitlin Montgomery, Carter Montgomery, and Colter Jarrett.

Graveside and interment services for Mrs. Montgomery will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Summerville Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Bailey officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jeff Bailey, Jason Jarrett, Johnny Montgomery, Colter Jarrett, Carter Montgomery, and Bailey Kellett.

Mrs. Montgomery will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour on Wednesday.
