Mrs. Joyce Dale (Trammell) Goodson

Mrs. Joyce Dale Goodson, age 66, of Trion, GA, passed away Saturday December 22, 2018, at her residence.  Mrs. Goodson was born July 23, 1952, in Chattooga County GA, the daughter of the late Leland Winston Trammell and Julia Virginia Gentry Howell. She was a homemaker, a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rubin Wayne Goodson and her step-father, Hobert B. (Red) Howell.

Survivors include her children; Judy Lynn (Patrick) Wesson of Summerville, GA, Marsha Ann Smart & Robert McGill of  Cloudland, GA, and Virginia Dale (Emmett) McWhorter of  Summerville, GA, grandchildren; Ryan Wesson, Jessica LeeAnn & Zach Doll, and Lindsay Smart, sisters; Judy Gail Hathorn of Lafayette, GA,  and step-sister, Betty Suits of Trion, GA.

Graveside and interment service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 26, 2018, from Concord Cemetery in Villanow, with Rev Gary Howell officiating.

 Mrs. Goodson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Wednesday- December 26, 2018 from 12:00 until 1:30. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, or feed the hungry.
