Mrs. Hattie Ruth (Woodall) Hammond

Mrs. Hattie Ruth Tomlin Hammond, age 83 of Trion, GA (formerly of Mentone, AL) passed away Friday- July 19, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Hammond was born April 27, 1936 in Gaylesville, AL to the late William and Rhoda McCullough Woodall. She was retired from Mount Vernon Mill.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Ralph Tomlin Sr, 2nd husband, Junior Hammond, a son, Anthony Ray Tomlin, and a brother, Johnny Woodall.

Survivors include  daughter and son-in-law, Sherri & Randy Adcock, sons and daughters-in-law,  Ralph & Mitzi Tomlin, Johnny & Kathy Tomlin, David & Jane Tomlin, Jeffery Tomlin, sisters and brother-in-law, Judy & Jerry Westbrooks, Nola Wilhite, Emma Harrelson, brothers and sister-in-law, Benson & Rae Woodall, Jerry Mac Woodall, 9 grandchilden, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hammond will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday- July 21 at the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. James Hannah officiating. Burial will follow at Lyerly Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Nick Tomlin, Michael Gann, Daniel Hankins, B.J. Hankins, Dawson Tomlin, Hayden Tomlin, Evan Tomlin.  Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and special friend, Sue Hurley.

Mrs. Hammond will lie in state and the family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
