Mrs. Cledia Jo (Mason) Wood

Mrs. Cledia Jo Mason Wood, age 76, of Lyerly, GA, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020, at her residence.

Mrs. Wood was born April 13, 1943, in Gaylesville, AL, daughter of the late 
J. W. and Bessie Crane Mason.  She was a homemaker and a member of West Summerville Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Timothy Allen Wood and Dale Wood; sisters, Ann Tucker and Nora Lee Mason.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Aaron Wood; sons, Chuck Wood, Stacy Womack, Bill (Beth) Womack; step-daughter, Tina (Jason) Brewster; sisters, Joyce (Ray) Burk, Judy Tucker, Lucille (Robert) Wood, and Sue Phillips; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wood will be held at 11:00 A.M. Sunday, January 5, 2020, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shannon Tucker; Bro. Glenn Ezell, Bro. Kevin Smith; and Bro. Jimbo Burke officiating.  Itnerment will follow in Johnson Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Bradley Womack, Jamie Tucker, John Tucker, Cody Aycock, Alex Tucker, Cody Burke, and Shane Hatcher.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Ezell, Jason Brewster, David Fletcher, Terry Busbin, nieces and nephews; Donald Hatcher, the staff of Redmond EMS; and the staff of the Chattooga Volunteer Fire Department.

Mrs. Wood will be in state at Mason Funeral home and the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Saturday.
