Mrs. Claydene (Smith) Moseley

Mrs. Claydene Smith Moseley, age 90, of Gaylesville, AL, died Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Cherokee Village.

Mrs. Moseley was born October 22, 1927, in Gadsden, AL, daughter of the late John Clayton and Annie Mae Hurst Smith.  She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she had formerly served as Church Clerk and Pianist.  She currently attended Mount Bethel Baptist Church and was a member of the W.M.U.  Mrs. Moseley was also a member of the Lookout Mountain Baptist Association.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Mosley is preceded in death by her husband, James M. Moseley.

Mrs. Moseley is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Charles N. Moseley, David L. and Sandy Moseley; grandchildren, Jon Moseley, Jerrad Moseley, Jacob Moseley, and Zachariah Moseley; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Moseley will be held at 11:00 A.M. (E.S.T.) Friday, September 28, 2018, at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne Teague and Rev. Jamie Maples officiating.  Interment will follow at Moseley Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Jon Moseley, Jerrad Moseley, Jacob Moseley, Zachariah Moseley, Ralph Sentell, and Sonny Leath.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Ladies’ Sunday School Class of Mount Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Moseley will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Thursday.
