Mrs. Betty Jane Howard

Mrs. Betty Jane Howard, age 85, of Menlo, GA, died Monday, April 15, 2019, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Howard was born November 11, 1933, in Gaylesville, AL, daughter of the late Ida Jones Love.  She attended Chelsea Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Harriet and Henderson.  In addition to her mother, Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband, Tillman Howard; a brother, Grady Love; sister, Barbara Ratliff; and the father of her children, Charles E. “Gene” Copeland.

Mrs. Howard is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Marvin Brown, Sylvia and Tim Hurtt; sisters, Shirley Galloway and Nell Nichols; 6 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Howard will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2019, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary “Bucky” Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Hak Seo, Richie Hurtt, Justin Brown, Eric Brown, and Lee Petitt.

Mrs. Howard will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
