Mrs. Bertie Melinda Gayler, age 83 of Summerville, GA passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Gayler was born August 18, 1934 in Collinsville, Alabama to the late Walter and Minnie Lee Beard Estes. She was retired from Mount Vernon Mills spinning department and was of the Baptist Faith.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Gayler is preceded in death by her husband; Doyle Gayler, and a daughter; Patricia Smith.
She is survived by her sons; Robert Gayler and Milton Livingston, 3 sisters, and grandchildren, Doyle Gayler, Chadston Jacome, Kody Jacome, Jerry E. Smith, Shawn Ruby, Freedom Nabors and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gayler will be held at 3:30 PM Friday October 27 at the Chapel of Mason Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Doyle Gayler, Shawn Ruby, Chadston Jacome, Kody Jacome, Tim Nabors, Christopher Nabors. Honorary pallbearers, Donny Cochran, John Trammel.
The family will receive friends at Mason Funeral Home Friday from 1:30 until the service time.
